A loan of $200 helped to buy maize and beans to sell.

Justus's story

Justus is aged 35 years. He is married with four children, aged 10, 7, 5 and 3 years respectively, of whom two attend school. He is in the produce business, mainly beans and maize sales, and it is a business he has been operating since 2005 as a major source of income to look after the family.

He wants a loan of 500,000 Uganda shillings to buy more produce to meet current demand for produce on the market. His dream is to expand the business so that he is in position to transport a full truck of the products to the city for reselling. At that level, he will adequately meet the basic needs of his family.

However, Justus is challenged by the limited capital he has in the business at the moment. He hopes that with the loan advanced to him, the business will soon grow to his expected levels.
