A loan of $1,475 helped to purchase 3 heifers.

Kamiila's story

Kamiila is 45 years old, married, and has 3 children. As a means of earning income for her family, she raises cattle and grows crops. She started this business 11 years ago with a sum of 5,000 Kyrgyzstan Som. Since then, she has managed to expand her farm which now includes 2 dairy cows, 1 horse and 2 heifers, and brings in a monthly income of around 7,000 Som from the sale of milk and re-sale of cows. In addition, she works 0.55 hectares of irrigated land. For the purpose of further developing her business, Kamiila has approached Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 70,000 Som to buy 3 heifers to fatten and re-sell in the future. She plans to use the income generated by this loan to increase her herd and to purchase furniture for her house.
