In this Group: Tasleem , Balqees, Bushra, Bushra, Yasmeen
Tasleem is 43 years old, and a very hard-working and independent woman. She lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, with her family. Her family includes two sons and two daughters. Her husband is a businessman. He has been running his own dairy shop and sports shop. Their eldest son is a taxi driver.

Tasleem is a clothing seller. She runs a small clothing sales business in her house. She purchases clothes from different areas of Peshawar and Lahore, and she resells them in Rawalpindi. By doing this she gets a good amount of profit, which helps her to meet the household expenses. Presently, she needs some additional capital to grow her business. Therefore, as a member of this five-person borrowing group, she has requested a loan from Kiva's partner, BRAC Pakistan. With the loan amount, she will purchase a variety of clothes from different areas, to resell in her own community. She is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
