A loan of $1,025 helped to buy a tortilla-making machine for her business.

Beatriz's story

Beatriz is 45 years of age, and lives in her home in a neighborhood in San Lorenzo, located in the south of Honduras. She has worked selling tortillas for 25 years.

Beatriz sells from Monday to Sunday, delivering her tortillas to various eateries in Nacaome. As classes have started again at the schools, she also delivers her tortillas to the food stalls in the schools located in her area. Her business is located in her home, and she also works in the local market. Her customers are the neighbors and friends who visit her each day.

Beatriz has requested this loan to buy a tortilla-making machine, so that she can make more of this product which is in great demand. She hopes to be able to obtain more income for her business, as well as to make small improvements to her quality of life and that of her family. Beatriz’s dream is to have a strong business and to improve her home.
