A loan of $275 helped to buy fishing tools.

Walter's story

Walter, 50, is married to Miram and has four children. He lives in his own house with his whole family.

Walter's job is buying and selling fresh fish. He has done this work for three years with the help of two assistants who help him select, transport, and sell the fish. This way he can keep his family comfortable. His constant spirit of self-improvement has made him make further incursions into this business, managing to get a good customer portfolio. Occasionally, every two weeks, he himself fishes for the species in greatest demand.

He also specifies that what he likes most about his job is talking with his customers. The most difficult part is tolerating the intense odor that comes from the fish, because it permeates his clothing and his body. In spite of this he hopes to have an air-conditioned vehicle in the future to transport his fish and keep it much fresher.

Currently he'll request 700 soles [PEN] to buy a new fishing net with all the implements he needs to do his job. He's committed to making his payments punctually.
