A loan of $1,100 helped to buy basic staples and a display case.

Ana Del Socorro's story

Ana, 48, is from Estelí. She’s single and the mother of three children who are 14, 20 and 25 years of age respectively. She’s a merchant and owns a grocery store; she’s had it for over a year. She started out in commerce in the sewing business at the age of 45 with her own capital and gradually earned profits. From there, she decided to go into grocery sales and she feels proud because she’s succeeded in earning extra income on her own. She has regular customers and her expectation is to make her business grow.

She’s asking for this loan to buy basic grains like beans, sugar, rice and a display case to display her goods. She feels that this loan will help her busy all the merchandise in general that she does not yet stock to increase sales and earn higher profits. Among her future plans it to expand the area her grocery store is in.
