A loan of $1,000 helped to buy three cattle to raise.

Reina Isabel's story

Reina, 28, is single. She makes a living as a temporary teacher in various schools. She has studied teaching and has an average of three years in the profession.

She also raises cattle. Currently she has no cattle because she sold her two animals in December. She learned the work of raising cattle from her parents, who also make a living in this activity. She has been doing this work for an average of seven years. She raises the cattle in a pasture next to her house. She buys the cattle to raise in the fairs in the neighboring areas, which average about 10 kilometers from her house.

The loan she's requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy three cattle to raise. The main need to satisfy is to be able to buy her cattle herd to raise because she has an appropriate plot of land for this activity and the cattle will have adequate pasture for raising.

After she buys the three cattle, her main idea is to sell them later. With the profit she earns from this activity she'll continue increasing her herd because she's always working with loans from Fundación Campo and she'll keep on investing her profits in her business.

She wants to continue raising cattle and diversify her products. She also mentioned that she wants to grow corn and beans because the winter is approaching and it's favorable for these activities.
