Jacinta's story

Señora Jacinta is 62 years old. She is married and has a daughter who depends on her. She has her own house which is located in the San Lorenzo community in South Honduras. For the last 10 years she has worked in the business of selling tortillas. Doña Jacinta in her business sells tortillas and has a little gumball machine. She wants to expand her business. Her customers are her friends and neighbours who come to her house to buy her tortillas, and she wants to increase her income by selling sweets and churros from her home-run business.

Doña Jacinta is asking for this loan to buy maize, firewood, lime, chocolates, gum, sweets, lollipops, etc. to expand her business, because at this time she hopes that the business will improve over the school season. With the support of this loan she intends to get her family ahead. Doña Jacinta's dream is to improve her business and also her house.
