Lorreine's story

Lorreine, 49, is married to Estanis, 62. They have four children and live in their own house, where they spend their days together as a family. Lorreine tailors and fixes clothes at home, where she waits for neighbors, friends or acquaintances to come with special requests, e.g. for a special occasion or just because they need a small fix (like fixing a garment, sewing a button to a shirt or a zipper to a dress). Lorreine has worked in this activity for ten years. She takes great care of her old sewing machine and considers it her loyal companion. She takes good care of her clients, which has helped her to provide an excellent quality. Lorreine says that many of her clients are satisfied when they see the final results. She now hopes to open a more complete business, and in order to pursue her dream and progress, she needs to buy a new sewing machine This time, she is requesting 500 soles [PEN] and feels happy knowing that she has a financial support that enables her to continue working. She promises to continue paying the installments on time. With the loan, she will buy materials such as fabrics, threads, buttons and needles.
