Mouy's Group's story

Mouy, 38, lives in a rural area of the Monkoul Borey district of Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia. Mouy has four children, two of whom are dependent on her and still in school.

To support the family, she has been raising pigs and her husband is a fisherman in local area to earn additional income for her family. Engaging in this business for 18 years, she can earn about 12,000 KHR per day and manages to save about 4,000 KHR each day after daily expenses.

Mouy has been with VisionFund for five cycles while the other member have been with VisionFund from one to three cycles. She is now leading her group of three to request a loan. As the leader, she wants to use her portion to buy materials for building a proper latrine. She hopes to have healthful latrine for her family to use.
