A loan of $1,250 helped to buy grocery items, toiletries, and beverages to sell.

Dionafe's story

This is Dionafe. She previously accessed a 50,000 PHP loan which she used to purchase a great quantity and variety of grocery items and products needed in her business. Her earnings helped her to pay for her children’s school fees and meet personal, household, and business expenses. She has operated her business for 20 years now. She and her husband, who is an employee, work hard to continuously provide for their daily needs. She also sells frozen and processed food to earn additional income.

She would like to apply for another 50,000 PHP loan to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages, and other products to add to her inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better. More items to sell will result in more profit. Her profits from the business will definitely help to sustain her family’s daily needs and pay her children’s educational expenses. She looks forward to this financial improvement with a glad and thankful heart.

Dionafe dreams of expanding her business and generating more income. She hopes to give her children a good life and an education. She meets with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week and draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and from her study of the Word of God.

*All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
