A loan of $275 helped to buy construction materials.

Diego Jaen Carlos's story

Diego is a 21-year-old young man. He lives in Pisco city, a city with beautiful beaches, marvelous tourist attractions, and a variety of local cuisine. Since he was very young, Diego has had to work. His parents are poor. This is why he only completed his education to the fifth year of secondary school. He would have liked to go to university.
In the early morning hours, Diego goes to work as a fisherman. He works about ten hours a day. With his earnings he is able to help with the household expenses. He believes he is moving forward as he is responsible and is friendly to his customers.
Diego is very appreciative for the KIVA loans, as thanks to their help he is able to buy construction materials such as cement, sand, bedrock, concrete and the other items he needs to finish the construction of a part of their house. In this way he can improve the quality of life for his family and continue to strive to meet his long-term goal of finishing his home and giving a better quality of life to his family.
