A loan of $625 helped to buy fish for resale.

Maguette's story

Maguette lives in Senegal. She is a married woman who has worked as a merchant for over 15 years. She sells fish and, thanks to the profits generated by her business, she is able to pay for the education of her two children.

Maguette is a member of one of the UIMCEC branches, and has already benefitted from four prior loans. She has requested a new loan of 300,000 francs CFA, which she plans to use to buy fish for resale. She also wants to consolidate her working capital and meet the growing demand from her customers. In the future, Maguette would like to develop her business and become a successful, well-known wholesale fish merchant.
