A loan of $325 helped to buy chickens.

Sarli's story

Sarli, 29, is married to Edson who works in transportation and is the father of their five-year-old twins. They live comfortably in their house which is the fruit of their labor and dedication. Sarli’s activity is selling butchered chickens. To do so, she rises very early every day and heads out to the ports where products come in from the settlements and she buys the chickens at wholesale and then takes them to resell them at retail in her stand. She started her business over two years ago with her own capital. She considers her business to be quite profitable because of the good profits it nets that she’s used to cover her household expenses.

This will be MFP loan #3 and she’s grateful to know that she’ll be able to rely on financial help to stay in business. She will use the requested 800 new soles to buy merchandise like chickens in larger amounts for her business seeking the best prices for volume purchases so her income will be higher.
