Livingstone's story

Livingstone was born in 1973 at Kabwooma – Nyakagyeme, Rukungiri from a peasantry family. When his parents passed on, he carried on with the parents’ agriculture business of banana planting and livestock to earn a living and support his siblings. Livingstone and his wife have a family of four (4) children of which three attend school.

Livingstone started a salon business in 2010 which serves ladies only at the moment. The business went on getting clients and reached a time when the resources were not enough to serve their clients. In 2012 Livingstone wanted to expand his business and decided to join UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) for financial assistance. He got a loan which assisted him to buy more driers and hair oils to meet the demand of his customers, and that increased his income. He decided to come for more money to enhance his salon and to serve more clients, and he intends to open up a section for men using the loan he is is taking now.

Livingstone recommended UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) to continue offering financial assistance to everyone in his community.
