A loan of $800 helped to purchase groceries.

Cynthia's story

Cynthia is 25 years old. She is a hardworking and enterprising woman. She is single and lives in her parent's house along with her two brothers who are 17 and 18 years old. Cynthia works selling basic grocery items. She has a small store that is located in her parent's house. She kindly serves her customers, who are mainly neighbors, and she has earned their loyalty because of the good treatment she provides.

She started more than two years ago with a loan from MFP. She considers her business to be profitable because the products she sells are necessities. Before she started her business, she did not have problems, but she wanted to earn her own income and support her parents with the household expenses.

Seeing the success that she is having, she wants to continue with her business and move into another business selling clothing since she has seen that it is profitable.

This will be her fifth loan with MFP and she is happy to know that she has the financial support to advance with her business. She is requesting 2000 nuevos soles to invest in the purchase of groceries in general such as rice, sugar, eggs, flour, and other items to stock her business and have varied merchandise available for sale.
