A loan of $125 helped to buy tea-tree seedlings.

Oinanga's story

Oinanga is a farmer in the Nanyuki area of Central province, Kenya. He owns a tea-tree farm, a business he has been operating for two years now. The oil from this plant is used to manufacture cosmetics. He is also a horticultural farmer, planting potatoes, maize and beans and rearing cattle.

He learned about Milango through a friend who invited him to the group, and he joined with an aim of accessing credit to improve his business operations. His main challenges are lack of funds and water.

Oinanga is applying a loan of 10,734 Kenya shillings to buy tea-tree seedlings. He aspires to increase the acreage under tea-tree farming.
