Salim is 32 years old and is happily married to Tima, who is a businesswoman. They have been blessed with 1 child. He is a shopkeeper and earns his living selling fish purchased from fisherman. He makes the sales from his house. Salim would like to expand his business, and to have another shop in the outskirts of the city's wholesale market, because his products are in high demand by his customers.
Salim is asking for a loan so that he can buy more fish as it is in high demand and he would like to increase his stock.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
