Jacinta, 45, is married to Jacob who operates a retail shop business.
Jacinta has a store where she sells basic needs items, such as sugar, bread, milk, meat and bulk goods. She has two children who are in school and help with the housework. Jacinta says her parents were the ones who taught her the merchant trade and her siblings also have their own businesses.
Jacinta is requesting a loan to buy basic products for her store so she can continue offering her customers everything they need.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
