Mujeres Activas Mbajue Group's story

The group named “Mujeres Activas de Mbajue” is in its 14th loan cycle as part of the Women’s Committee Program. All of the members work and support one another in their common goal of improving their quality of life. The members took a poverty elimination survey and the results indicated that four of the members are below the poverty line and do not have the necessary resources.

One of the members is Sra. Virina. Her latest survey indicated that she is within a Level 2 poverty stage. This young mother is aware that work and effort are the only ways to achieve total success so that she can provide for her family’s welfare. Virina has a job as a public employee but now she has also started selling undergarments and is doing very well. She has built up a good clientele and is slowly growing.

Virina is requesting a loan so that she can invest in the purchase of undergarments. This will enable her to fulfill her customers’ orders and offer them a variety of new products.
