A loan of $775 helped a member to buy fertilizers and pesticides for her rice and mango planting.

Soy's Group's story

Soy is 62 years old and married. She has four children. She lives in a rural village of the Kandal province’s Sa Ang district, earning a living through farming rice and planting mango. Engaging in this business for 35 years, they can earn about KHR 18,000 per day from the current business.

This is the fourth microloan for Soy with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. She successfully used the loans to improve her living condition. Now leading her group of three to apply for a loan, Soy, who is the leader, will use her portion to buy fertilizers and pesticides for her rice and mango planting. She hopes to produce more mango and rice and sell it for a good price so as to make a better living.

In this group: Soy, Pov, Kimhorn
