Jyambere Mugore Group's story

Marie Gorette is a member of the Jyambere Mugore solidarity group, which grows corn. She is 32 years old, married and has 4 children, the eldest of whom is 7 years old and the youngest, 1. Two of her children attend school and she is responsible for one other person. She was born in Rwanda and has 6 years of primary school education. She started to work with ACB Ltd in 2008 and is on her 4th loan cycle. The previous loans have been properly repaid. With the current loan, she will rent a field, buy seeds and pay the labourers. She does not foresee any difficulty in repaying the loan. In order to increase her agricultural productivity, her strategy is to use modern agricultural techniques, notably chemical fertilizers. Her business ambition is to have her own field. As to her family, she will make sure her children get an education and continue to ensure her family's well-being. As well as the business being financed, she also sells various items to retail customers.
