Go On Group's story

Meet the members of the “Go On” group from Waterloo, a small town in Western Sierra Leone. They are all local entrepreneurs who have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org to apply for a loan of 2,600,000 Leones for the group. With the help of this loan, they will be able to expand their businesses, make more sales and consequently improve their living conditions. Salamatu is the leader of this group. The 40-year-old is married to a trader, and they have three children. Salamatu has been a businesswoman for many years now; she sells onions. She has requested this loan in order to buy a large quantity of onions to add to her current stock.
