A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a dairy cow.

Reynaldo's story

Sr. Reynaldo is 38 years old, married and has two children, who are 14 and 10 years old. He prepares and sells cheese and milk because he owns cattle. He lives in the town of Patini, where the inhabitants engage in agriculture and livestock raising. This is his first loan cycle in his communal bank.

Sr. Reynaldo will use this loan to purchase a dairy cow and he wants to take advantage of this opportunity. The reason he is requesting a loan is because he lacks the money to make this purchase and it will greatly benefit him since the cow will provide a good quantity of milk and he will be able to produce more milk and cheese and improve his earnings.

Sr. Reynaldo faces challenges in his business such as fodder, which he needs to buy every now and then and he will use his profits to improve his cattle. He wants to be able to produce cheese wholesale and sell to the different markets in the city of la Paz.
