A loan of $275 helped to buy the ingredients she needs to prepare the food she sells.

Reyna's story

Reyna, 45 years old, is a single mother. She has two children who are still dependent on her. She lives in a house of her own in the town of San Lorenzo, in the southern part of Honduras. She has been selling food and sweets for sixteen years. Her customers are usually the employees of a motorcycle repair shop just down the street, as well as passing travellers and lorry drivers. Her shop is located right next to the Panamerican motorway. Reyna is a very good borrower, who fights for the sake of her family. She asks for this loan in order to buy the ingredients needed to prepare the food she sells: meat, chayote, onions, chili peppers, carrots, beetroot, plantain, rice, and other fresh ingredients. With this loan, she hopes to improve her quality of life. She is very happy with her partnership with the lending institution, and is in her fourth cycle of loans with it. She always repaid on time. Her dream is to see her children become university graduates.
