Milly's story

Milly is married with two children and both her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (elderly parents). She knits sweaters and has been in this business for 5 years. She has applied for a loan from MCDTSACCO to buy more threads and additional needles for the knitting machine. Her major customers are schools in the area. She sells on wholesale only and works seven days a week. Her major business challenges includes transportation of threads from Kampala city to her home and also some schools take time to pay back hence inconveniencing her work. She aspires to own a big factory for making sweaters and also to educate her children up to university. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
