A loan of $775 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Lourdes's story

Lourdes, 51, is married and has four children. She lives with her husband and two of her children in a village in the municipality of La Esperanza, Intibucá. Lourdes has had her own, home-based business for 15 years where she sells basic staple items like rice, sugar, bread, flour, pasta, canned goods, snacks, soft-drinks, etc. She’s managed several ODEF loans and the one she’s asking for now is her 6th and it’s for 15,000 Lempiras she’ll use to buy more food and grocery items to keep her store stocked. This investment will help her always have a larger inventory on hand to provide better customer service since her goal is to make the business grow.
