A loan of $400 helped to purchase parts and motor oil for cars.

Esther's story

Esther, 36, lives with her husband Josué, 37, with whom she has three children. She and her family share a house built of wood that they recently acquired.

Initially, as a housewife caring for her first child, she supported the initiative to open her own business in an auto-repair shop for different vehicles. This was a very sound decision because at that time Josué was working as an assistant in a private shop and thought he had the ability to go out on his own.

They have had this business for almost 15 years. Over time they have managed to establish themselves and have a good foundation for the growth of the family. She's in charge of managing the shop store, where they sell a variety of repair supplies such as oil and parts. Her husband offers the corresponding technical service.

She needs to have some working capital to re-stock her business and have a greater variety of products.

Among her long-term priorities is to build her house of solid materials to improve her family's quality of life and also to have a better environment for her business.

This is her first loan with MFP. She's very happy to be part of a strong group in which she hopes to put the best of herself for the growth of her community. This is why she's requesting 1,000 nuevos soles [PEN] to buy parts and oil for a variety of vehicles so she has more supplies for her business.
