A loan of $275 helped to buy second-hand clothes to stock her business and to sell.

Maritza Teresa's story

Maritza, age 30, is married and has one child. She lives in a suburban neighborhood in San Pedro Sula.

She was working at a factory. When she was left without a job she decided to work at her own business activity. Two years ago she started selling used clothes like blouses, t-shirts, skirts, pants, and shorts. She sells the clothes in an itinerant manner.

She had expenses for her child’s school supplies, and she was left without capital. She has now requested a loan for 5,000 lempiras. She will use the loan to buy clothes and stock up. She will do this in order to continue with her business and to fill customer orders that she has.

Her dream is to establish her business in a fixed location.
