A loan of $325 helped to buy fresh fish to sell.

Ramata Bouna's story

At age 32, Mrs. Ramata Bouna has been in business for five years. She is the mother of four children, the oldest of whom is 15 and the youngest is eight. Her business is selling fresh fish. She goes to get her fresh batch from the boatmen and comes back to sell them at the local market. She gets up early, around 6 am, and by 2 pm she has finished her day. It should be noted that since she has no refrigerator, she does all she can to move her merchandise quickly.
She has no family responsibilities except her own personal needs; her profits are therefore reinvested in her business. To maximize her profits, she wants to take on cosmetic sales in the future.
