A loan of $250 helped to buy local fruit and second-hand clothing for sale.

Dieynaba's story

Dieynaba is a married woman who lives in Senegal. She has two businesses: selling local fruit (oranges, apples, bananas, etc.), and selling second-hand clothing. She has more than 30 years’ experience in these businesses. Dieynaba is a member of one of the UIMCEC branches. As she wanted to expand and develop her retail business, she has requested a loan of 120,000 francs CFA. Her plan is to start selling fruit juices. With the growth in her profits, she would like to contribute to improving her family’s living conditions and wellbeing. Dieynaba’s biggest wish for the future is to become a successful retailer, traveling all over the world for the needs of her business.
