Nana's story

Nana is 32 years old and lives in the Samtredia district. She lives with her husband and two sons. Nana’s husband works as a truck driver and earns a monthly income. The family runs a dairy farm with two calves and three milk cows whose milk is used for cheese products. The cheese is sold at the local open market. Besides this, Nana grows nuts on the family-owned land and sells, on average, 700-800 kg of nuts per year, as well as laurel leaves. In addition, she owns two pigs and sells 20-25 piglets per year.

Nana is a hardworking young woman who is responsible and very well known in the area for her big heart and friendliness toward others.

She requested a loan to purchase chicks and start poultry farming. Nana will raise the chicks and then sell the hens at a good price. She considers her business to be profitable, since it generates a good income that enables her to improve the living conditions of her family.
