A loan of $2,525 helped to buy sewing machines for organizing a new business.

Mavzuna's story

Mavzuna is an experienced seamstress and creates masterpieces of Tajik national dress. She is 38 years old. She is married and is raising three children.

From an early age, she had a big interest in sewing women's clothes. Growing up, she learned this craft from an experienced seamstress and always sewed clothes for her family. Since her husband went to Russia and is not able to send enough money, Mavzuna decided to exercise her craft in a business and in this way to provide for her family.

With this aim, she took a course "Bring It On" organized by the Association of Business Women and received a certificate. She is ready to establish a business and to provide good service to her customers. Her brother's wife will help her in running the business. She needs new sewing machines (one for sewing, another for embroidery), but does not have the money.

She is requesting a loan of 12,000 somoni to buy new sewing machines.
