Mwanaisha is a 33-year-old married lady with three children. She lives in Likoni, Kenya with her husband and children. All of her chldren are in school; their school fee payment is a major expenditure. She owns a cafe at which she sells food. She wakes up every morning to prepare the food and sell it. She has been in this business for more than two years and has gained great sales experience that has helped increase her customers and income range. She has requested a loan amounting to KES 60000 to buy wheat, maize flour, 40 litres of cooking oil, and seats for the cafe.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
