A loan of $275 helped to buy construction materials.

Mario's story

Mario is a 19-year old man who lives with her young wife and their 4-month old son, for whom he smiles every time he sees him. Despite his young age, he works very hard to provide him with a decent and, above all, full of love life. They live in the city of Chincha, which has a varied weather, beautiful beaches and a broad gastronomy. Mario learned to work when he was a little boy as his parents had limited financial resources and needed his support. This is why he only studied until 5th grade in middle school although he would have liked to study a degree in Dentistry.

Mario is a workman in a textile company and works for approximately 9 hours each day. Thanks to his hard work, he can cover his household expenses and believes he's getting ahead because he is responsible and enthusiastic.

Mario feels very grateful to Kiva lenders. Thanks to their support, he'll be able to buy construction materials, such as cement, sand and metal, among others, to repair the walls and ceiling of his house. This way he'll be able to provide his family with a better quality of life and to continue fighting every day to make his biggest dream come true: having his house built in fine material.
