A loan helped to buy basic needs products like basic grains, shortening, and meats, etc.

Jose Ovidio's story

Jose, age 40, is married and has two children. He lives with his family in the Taulabe municipality in Comayagua. He established his grocery store business ten years ago. He sells basic needs products like rice, beans, shortening, flour, sugar, bread, churros, soft drinks, sausages, and meats, etc. He has established the business at his house. He has been keeping it stable through the investment of various loans he has received from ODEF.

The loan for 22,000 lempiras that he is currently requesting is his eleventh cycle. He will use the loan to buy more products like basic grains, shortening, sugar, soft drinks, churros, and meats. His intention is to keep his inventory stocked in order to increase the business and his income.

His goal is to be more stable and to manage to involve the family and build the business mode.
