A loan of $3,875 helped a member to buy merchandise like perfumes and colognes.

Dos De Mayo Group's story

The members belong to the communal bank "Dos de mayo" ["Second of May"]. This bank is located in the district of Cusco, which is part of the Cusco province and the Cusco region.

The member, Luzgarda, is 50 years old and married, and has 3 children. She alternates her daily activities with her business selling beauty products like colognes, perfumes, and creams, among other products. She travels to different neighbourhoods to sell to friends and relatives, who place orders with her. She has been in this business for years, and it is going well thanks to the hard work she puts in everyday. She is a responsible and hardworking person, and it is in this way that she supports her family.

She is asking for this loan to purchase merchandise like perfumes and colognes.

The other members work selling clothes, raising small animals, selling dried grains, in grocery stores, as taxi drivers, as a lawyer and as a public service worker.

The members that appear in the accompanying photo asked permission to arrive late to the meeting because of work commitments.

Luzgarda feels grateful for the loan and is committed to meeting the set payment deadlines.
