A loan of $400 helped to hire day laborers.

Grover's story

Grover is a young man of 29 with a great deal of drive to succeed. He's single and has no children. He hopes to work enthusiastically and gather enough resources so that in the future he can start a family with all the comforts it requires. He currently lives in a house built with noble materials which was given to him by his parents. When he became an adult, he acquired ownership of a plot of land that was inherited by his parents. He has been working in growing and maintaining his organic cocoa crop ever since.
He has been in this line of work for nearly 10 years and he reports that he enjoys his work very much. It's a business he has been familiar with since he was young in terms of the most commonplace tasks such as weeding and fertilizing cocoa trees. Nevertheless, the rainy season makes his work difficult because his plot of land is somewhat distant from his village.
He currently intends to finish the second round of weeding, which is indispensable for obtaining a high quality produce. That way he'll keep the weed from competing for nutrients with his cocoa crop.
Like every enthusiastic young man, he has plans for the future. He wishes to finish the construction of a second floor in his house, then rent out part of it and get an additional source of income aside from his agricultural work. He is pleased to achieve his first loan with MFP, and he expresses his utter commitment towards repaying his loan in a timely fashion.
On this first occasion, he wishes to receive 1000 nuevos soles in order to hire day laborers and go ahead with the second round of weeding.
