A loan of $325 helped to buy an industrial stove in order to make food and to stock up on sweets, rechargeable phone cards, and calling cards for mobile phones.

Alexi Jeobani's story

Alexi is 40 years old, and he has a daughter. He lives with his wife and daughter in a neighborhood in the Choloma municipality in Cortes. He was working for a private company, but when he no longer had employment he decided to set up his own business. He has been selling sweets like churros, soft drinks, candy, fruit, cookies, and others for six months.

He is thinking of selling food and cell phone charge cards too. In order to do so he is requesting 6,000 lempiras to buy an industrial stove in order to make food and to stock up on sweets, rechargeable phone cards, and calling cards for mobile phones.

His objective is to have more income and for his business to keep growing until it becomes a large grocery store.
