A loan of $350 helped to buy dairy products like cheese, butter, and ‘quesillo’ [similar to farmer’s cheese].

Ruben's story

Ruben, age 29, lives with his wife and child in a neighborhood in the Choloma Cortes municipality. Ruben has had his own business for three and a half years. He sells dairy products like cheese, butter, and ‘quesillo’ [similar to farmer’s cheese].

He used to work in a factory, but he decided it would be better to have his own business. He sells in an itinerant manner. He goes out to the community and surrounding areas to sell.

He has decided to get a loan for 6,500 lempiras in order to stock his business with dairy products. The loan will help him to buy for cash and be able to save some. His goal is to make his business grow in order to help his family and to get ahead.
