Felicitas's story

Felicitas, age 26, is a very selfless and hard-working woman. She shares a married life with 30 year old Carlos. Her main source of motivation is her little seven year old Anderson and one year old Yerenin. She lives with her family in an adobe home. Ever since she was a young woman she has always worked in farming activities related to coffee and organic cacao.

Nevertheless, with the intention of giving her little Anderson more attention, she chose to open a grocery store, together with Carlos, on the first floor of her house. She has been in the business for three years. So far she has managed to develop it into a good additional financial support for her family.

She feels that her business is peaceful yet entertaining work. This has allowed her to become very well-known and dear to her neighborhood. However, the rise in prices for the products many times decreases her sales.

Her long term plans are to start building her house out of substantial material. She hopes to do so to benefit her two little ones.

This is her first loan with MFP. She is very grateful for the opportunity that has been provided, and she hopes to take maximum advantage of it to benefit her business.

This first time she needs to have 1,000 soles to buy merchandise for her business. She will buy things like rice, sugar, canned goods, and soft drinks. These items are in high customer demand.
