A loan of $400 helped purchase sheep to renew his flock.

Justo's story

Justo, 64, is a hard-working and responsible man who has his own home. His wife died about 3 years ago and he and his 3 children are confronted with this daily. He was born into a farming family so farming comes naturally to him. He has always longed to be a great farmer that has a good crop production. His main crops are potatoes and peas. He has always been very optimistic about getting ahead and doesn't dwell on his previous year’s losses. He looks to the future and feels that all will be well. Justo continues to work in spite of the fact that he is getting older and isn't as strong as he used to be. However, he isn't tired since he provided for his children who have finished their education. “I taught my children to farm and raise livestock and now I also sell clothing. This makes me feel useful and I can care for my own health without having to bother my children.” He currently has a large number of sheep that he cares for in his free time. He wants to sell the animals when they are mature and buy better, younger animals to renew his flock. This is his 11th loan with MFP and he is grateful for the support he has been given. He promises to make his payments on time as he is always responsible and a hard worker. Justo will use the loan to buy sheep to renew his flock.
