Maime's story

Maime is 29 years old and lives in the town of West Point one of the most populated and well known markets in Montserrado county. She lives with her partner who has his own business. Both of them have two children aged 5 and 12. Both live at home with her and attends school.

For a year Maime has been running a cook shop (restaurant) in the local market. Sometimes she doesn't have enough money to buy her ingredients wholesale and has to buy retail, which is much more expensive. She likes the interaction with her customers and has learned how to cook from her mother a long time ago.

Maime has requested a loan to buy oil, pepper, rice, fish, chicken feet, and charcoal for her business. In the future, she would like to build her own house.
