A loan of $400 helped to buy organic fertilizer.

Cecilia's story

Cecilia is a 38-year old respectable mother with a high degree of work responsibility. She shares her life with Jacinto (34 years old) and is a proud mother of three minor children, named Elizabeth, Ruth and Jhon. They live in a house made of fine materials that has been built little by little.

She works in the production of organic cocoa, an activity that she performs with enthusiasm following a long family tradition. Every morning she goes to her plots and, with the support of her husband Jacinto and some day laborers in the area, works for the appropriate technical maintenance of her plantations. Both the removal of weeds and the fertilization are essential to obtain high-quality products, but her plots currently show a nutrient deficiency, which is why she wants to count on her financial entity to buy organic fertilizer.

In the future, she plans to buy more plots to expand her production and, in the long run, to increase her income. This is her first loan with MFP and, thankful for this first opportunity, she expects to continue working steadily and to punctually comply with her payments with an aim to have access to a larger loan some day. She is requesting a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles to buy bags of organic fertilizer to improve her production.
