A loan of $400 helped hire day laborers.

Bill's story

Bill is 18-years old, and at his young age he has already become the father of his little 1-year old Jazmín. Together with his life partner, 18-year old Yuliza, he has the great mission of helping his family to get ahead.
Bill lives in an adobe home that was given to him by his parents. Since he was a boy, Bill has participated in various jobs related to the production of organic cacao.
For the last three years, Bill has had the responsibility for a plot of land that was inherited from his parents. On it, he is maintaining cacao trees and hoping that at the end of the season he will have a good yield and get a fair price from the gatherers in the area.
To keep his work uniform, he plans to plant trees to provide permanent and essential shade for the small plants so they can reach a good quality.
Along with the above activities, Bill wants some personal help to carry out the first weeding.
His future plans point toward opening a business along the lines of a grocery store, in which Yuliza would work. This is Bill's first loan with MFP. He feels very happy about the confidence they have placed in him. He hopes to show his thanks by punctually repaying his loan.
He needs a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles ($400 USD) at this time to hire day laborers to do the weeding and also to plant trees.
