Estebana De Jesus

Nicaragua
Leon, Nicaragua / Personal Products Sales

A loan of $1,500 helped to invest in working capital and to stock up her personal products business with items such as hair decorations for girls and adults, combs, headbands, hairbands, wrapping paper, acrylic nails, nail varnish and hair dyes.

Estebana De Jesus's story

Estebana is 54 years old, married and has one nine year old son. She is originally from Managua, in the centre of the region. In her free time she really enjoys doing creative activities with her young son, like going to see films at the cinema. Unfortunately, due to a lack of financial resources, Estebana could not study at university as she had to work from a very young age to help with costs at home. Estebana is a hard-working and responsible woman who wants to overcome problems.

Thanks to her a strength and her desire to prosper and offer better conditions to her son. Estebana makes a living selling costume jewellery, which includes products such as hair decorations for girls and adults, combs, headbands, hairbands, wrapping paper, acrylic nails, nail varnish and hair dyes. Her business is situated in one of the area's markets. She does this work with great pleasure. Estebana works eight hours a day. The aim is to invest her credit in working capital and to buy products to stock up her business and sell. She hopes soon to be earning more money. Estebana thanks Kiva investors for the help they provide so that people with little resources have a decent job and for the help they provide to poor countries such as Nicaragua.
