A loan of $475 helped a member to buy hens for her business.

G.s Los Angelitos#3 Group's story

Gledis is an honest, responsible, hard-working person who lives with her children in a community in Choluteca, in the south of Honduras. Her business is buying and selling hens. Gledis needs this loan to buy hens. She believes that the loan will help her to increase her sales as she will have more products available to offer the customers who visit her every day. In this way, she will be able to cover her own needs as well as those of her family. Gledis dreams that, in a few years time, her business will be well positioned as one of the biggest and most well-known in her area. This will enable her to continue supporting her children so that they become upstanding citizens with better opportunities in life. Gledis and her fellow group members hope that their own quality of life and that of their families will improve a little as a result of this investment. Sabina is 45 years old and has been running a grocery store for 10 years. Luz is 51 years old and has been buying and selling hens for 15 years in a number of small neighboring villages.
