Rhodah is pictured amongst the 15 women of her group. She will receive input loans capable of planting on ½ an acre with sorghum, millet, and maize. Rhodah first enrolled with One Acre Fund during the 2012 Long Rains and is now preparing to be a One Acre Fund farmer during the 2013 Long Rains season. Rhodah joined One Acre Fund in order to gain access to hybrid seeds and fertilizer and grow enough food for the family.

Prior to joining One Acre Fund, Rhodah was only able to harvest 1/2 a bag of maize per ½ acre, but after joining One Acre Fund during the Long Rains 2012, she was able to harvest four bags per ½ acre! She plans on using future profits from the harvest to send her children to school and buy a cow. For the 2013 Long Rains season, Rhodah’s group members will take input loans of a ½ acre each. In total, this group will receive input loans for use on 7.5 acres of land.
