A loan of $775 helped to buy beans, maize, and ground nuts.

Francis's story

Francis is 33 years old, married, and has three children. Two of his children attend school. He is in the agricultural trade business, dealing primarily with beans, ground nuts, and maize. Francis is also involved in farming as another source of income to take care of the family.

Francis wants a loan of 2,000,000 UGX to buy more beans, maize, and ground nuts for the business. He wants to purchase these items now since the prices are still low and there is a good supply. These items are currently in season. He anticipates selling the produce at a much higher profit when the season is off and realizing good returns from the business.

His dream is to educate his children up to higher levels of learning using the proceeds from the produce business. He also intends to buy more land for farming to increase production. However, Francis has a challenge of the changing weather affecting the agricultural production as well as the changing prices in the market.
