They got to know each other thanks to family and neighbourly relationships, and friendships. They sell various shop items, condiments and charcoal. The women of the Bitechi group are on their 6th group loan, which will be used to buy various shop items, condiments and charcoal.

Fatoumata Bah, sitting first on the left in the picture, plans to buy 25 kilos of sugar, 7 packets of tea and 5 sachets of powdered milk from the suppliers in Marka Coungo. She resells her merchandise in her village to a retail clientèle made up of women and men.
